Price per session: £100

EMDR is an acronym for – Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing.

It is a powerful psychological technique which has been successful in helping people suffering from:

  • Trauma
  • Anxiety
  • Panic
  • Disturbing memories
  • Emotional problems
  • Pain relief
  • Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD)

EMDR is considered a break-through therapy because it can bring quick lasting relief for most types of emotional distress.

EMDR is the most effective and rapid method for healing PTSD as shown by extensive scientific research studies.

EMDR therapy uses bilateral stimulation, right/left eye movement stimulation, which repeatedly activates the opposite sides of the brain, releasing emotional experiences that are “trapped” in the nervous system. As troubled images and feelings are processed by the brain via the patterns of EMDR, resolution of the issues and a more peaceful state is achieved.

EMDR is a complex and powerful therapy. Therapists always have a background in mental health before undertaking training in EMDR and only legitimate trained clinicians/practitioners should be consulted.
